YOU will be involved in the following tasks:
- Globally lead engineering and operations of compute services at our sites, including hosting, 3rd party contracts, server management, backup/restore, disaster recovery
- Key contact for hosting & server room design and operations, driving and implementing standards
- Lead a team of engineers to support both projects and operations
- Plan & forecast resources and cost plans to support projects and operations
- Closely work with service providers to stabilize and optimize services
- Track and improve SLAs and performance metrics
- Develop strategies for stable compute operations while optimizing cost
What YOU will bring to the team:
- Managing IT Compute operations on a global scale
- Engineering virtual server solutions on VmWare
- Experience with projects and run services for server rooms and hosted equipment
- Profound understanding of processes to engineer and operate compute solutions
- Ability to manage a global team
- Ability to manage financials
- Experience with managing service providers on global scale
- Experience with datacenter and compute services – both from project implementation and operations perspective
- Track & optimize KPIs and SLAs
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- ITIL
- Experience using ServiceNow
- Experiecne with Azure DevOps
