at the Berlin or Saarbrücken location.

What does the ITS 12 department do?

We are responsible for the design, implementation and support of IT processes. The design and implementation of IT processes focuses in particular on the combination of standard products and individual software components. The focus is on central components, customer relationship management (CRM) and individual applications. The information obtained is evaluated using business intelligence solutions. The department’s support area continuously ensures the viability of the applications through release and change management. IT quality assurance plays a particularly important role in this overall complex. It ensures that the IT processes comply with the relevant architecture and security requirements right from the start.

What are your tasks?

  • You will strengthen our team as a dedicated IT project manager and coordinate project-oriented activities between the specialist departments, IT units and external service providers
  • You will be involved in the design and review of the technical concept, overall system specification and the implementation and support of the IT solution
  • You receive the technical requirements of the specialist departments, develop targeted solution strategies and incorporate the specialist knowledge of the unit’s employees as well as that of the other IT units
  • You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the business processes of the specialist units of the Federal Network Agency and perform tasks in the area of IT quality assurance
  • You will analyse current IT developments on the market and at other authorities in order to identify possible potential and synergies in the systematic planning, control and management of development processes
  • In the area of development management and development architectures, you will be responsible for the technical design and optimization of specified development environments and systems (also cloud-based)

Due to the area of responsibility, an extended review (SÜ 2) is required in accordance with the Security Review Act.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have completed a Master’s degree with 300 ECTS credits or a diploma (university) degree in business informatics, administrative informatics, computer science, mathematics or a comparable field of study or will complete such a degree shortly

or

  • You have completed or are about to complete a Master’s degree with 300 ECTS credits or a diploma (university) degree in economics, business administration, economics or a comparable field and have technical (additional) training in the above-mentioned areas or have at least one year of professional experience in the IT sector
  • You have initial experience in managing or coordinating IT projects
  • Ideally, you have experience in development management, particularly in connection with the design and optimization of development environments and development systems
  • You have knowledge of methods for processing solution strategies
  • At best, you have initial experience in the operational management of teams
  • Ideally, you have the ability to analyze current IT developments and recognize IT development potential and synergy effects and integrate these into the planning of the overall concept, taking into account the development life cycle activities
  • You have good comprehension skills, the ability to think abstractly and a high level of motivation
  • You have a confident and engaging manner
  • You are a committed, reliable and flexible personality who works independently and results-oriented even under time pressure in difficult situations
  • You have good planning, assertiveness and organizational skills as well as good analytical and negotiating skills
  • You are open-minded and cooperative in a team, have experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and have strong and proven people skills
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills and good English language skills
  • You are willing to undertake business trips
