The Museum Ludwig of the City of Cologne is looking to fill the position of
IT specialist (m/f/d) in the field of cultural informatics
to be filled for a limited period of 3 years.
The Museum Ludwig is one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Europe and is one of the leading international institutions with its diverse collection focusing on classical modernism, the Russian avant-garde, works by Pablo Picasso, pop art, contemporary positions and photography. Another focus of the museum is the presentation of up to six special exhibitions of different formats every year, featuring art from classical modernism to the present day.
YOUR FUTURE TASKS:

- develop and maintain the APS databases of the Museum Ludwig and contribute to conceptual development
- carry out documentation in line with the latest state of the art and information science, in close cooperation with internal documentarians as well as registrars and the Rheinisches Bildarchiv
- implement the MIDAS rules and regulations, develop them further and carry out quality checks on content
- design and implement a digital strategy for the Museum Ludwig, including the development of digital workflows and the promotion of digital cataloging
- evaluate digital developments for possible applications in the museum, such as in social media, AI and data network systems
- promote digital competence in various specialist areas and support national and international cooperation with other institutions
- advise and support the technical implementation of digital communication for the museum’s press and public relations work

WE OFFER YOU:
A future-oriented job in Cologne with a modern employer with all the advantages of the public sector and a regulated weekly working time of 39 hours for employees covered by collective agreements or 41 hours for civil servants with a high degree of flexibility within the scope of office-specific possibilities.
The position is temporary and can be part-time or full-time.
The position is graded according to salary group A12 career group 2, 1st entry level LBesG NRW (Salary Act for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, formerly higher service) or according to pay group 12 of the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD IKT).
The salary range in pay group 12 (TVöD-IKT) is currently between 3,752.91 euros (experience level 1) and 5,977.00 euros (experience level 6).
Your professional experience will be taken into account when assigning you to the experience level within the pay group, insofar as this is possible under collective bargaining law.
