BALLAD CORPORATE Information Technology – IT Pharmacy Applications Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) – Day Job Description SCOPE OF POSITION The Business Systems Analyst acts as a liaison between Information Systems and other Ballad Health departments and vendors to Ballad Health. This position is responsible for the assessment and deployment of applications necessary to meet the needs of Ballad Health. This position provides on-going support, enhancements and maintenance to systems in production. The Business Systems Analyst is the Information Systems Department representative to other Ballad Health departments within the organization. This position is responsible for analyzing and designing applications and processes to meet user needs; installing new releases; maintaining existing applications and processes; training users on use of application features and processes; creating training materials; creating operating guides; creating troubleshooting documentation; and troubleshooting problems that occur during daily operations. The Business Systems Analyst possesses skills in gathering requirements from business process owners, formulating a solution, directing activities to implement a solution and maintaining a delivered solution. Conduct long term and short term planning to meet immediate and future application requirements, which includes designing project plans, budgetary cost estimates, capacity/growth planning, accurate timelines, and resource requirements. Business Systems Analysts are technical subject matter experts for the systems they support. The Business Systems Analyst must show initiative, sound judgment and high aptitude for organization and attention to detail. This person must possess good verbal and written communication skills and above average intelligence to comprehend and solve problems. The Business Systems Analyst is expected to mentor and provide guidance to other Business Systems Analysts. The Senior Business Systems Analyst has the ability to act in the role of leadership in the absence of the team’s manager. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP See Table of Organization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE This position requires one of the following:
- A Graduate Degree (preferably in Healthcare, Business or Computer Science) with three (3) years of relevant experience, or
- A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Healthcare, Business or Computer Science) with five (5) years of relevant experience, or
- An Associate Degree (preferably in Healthcare, Business or Computer Science) with seven (7) years of relevant experience, or
- Nine (9) or more years of relevant experience
