Location: ESS main office, Lund, Sweden Mandatory Education Background and Professional Experience:
Education in Engineering or Scientific Area with primarily software professional experience. Demonstrated Expertise in the following areas:
Strong Programming Experience with Java and Python. Database Systems and Data Management. Familiarity with Graphical Interface Design. Design of Modular and Scalable Systems. Agile and Scrum Practices.
Personal Profile:
Good Communication and Collaboration Skills. This role involves frequent interactions with team members and potentially other groups. Ability to Take Initiative and work effectively as part of a team. Proficient in Oral and Written English.
Meriting Education Background and Professional Experience:
Experience with Large Research Facilities or Projects, particularly particle accelerators or light sources, is highly desirable. Knowledge of Control Systems such as EPICS or Tango would be advantageous.
Scope of the Assignment: As a Software Engineer in the Integrated Control System software group at ESS, you will:
Collaborate with other group members and stakeholders (mainly operators) working on various products in a Scrum Team. Your work will be coordinated by product owner(s) and aligned with our established way of working. Share Scrum Tasks to ensure knowledge transfer among staff members. Play a crucial role in creating a Reliability Management System for tracking faults and making predictions.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong analytical and programming skills. Ability to identify needs and translate them into effective software solutions.
