Mandatory Education Background and Professional Experience:
- Education in Engineering or Scientific Area with primarily software professional experience.
- Demonstrated Expertise in the following areas:
- Strong Programming Experience with Java and Python.
- Database Systems and Data Management.
- Familiarity with Graphical Interface Design.
- Design of Modular and Scalable Systems.
- Agile and Scrum Practices.
Personal Profile:
- Good Communication and Collaboration Skills. This role involves frequent interactions with team members and potentially other groups.
- Ability to Take Initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Oral and Written English.
Meriting Education Background and Professional Experience:
- Experience with Large Research Facilities or Projects, particularly particle accelerators or light sources, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Control Systems such as EPICS or Tango would be advantageous.
Scope of the Assignment:
As a Software Engineer in the Integrated Control System software group at ESS, you will:
- Collaborate with other group members and stakeholders (mainly operators) working on various products in a Scrum Team.
- Your work will be coordinated by product owner(s) and aligned with our established way of working.
- Share Scrum Tasks to ensure knowledge transfer among staff members.
- Play a crucial role in creating a Reliability Management System for tracking faults and making predictions.

- Ability to identify needs and translate them into effective software solutions.
