We currently have a career opportunity for a Lead API Developer with Azure experience . While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States and will be working ET zones.
The Lead API Developer is primarily responsible for gathering information to create/modify/maintain functional requirements for business software solutions and serve as a liaison between the business communities and the technology team. Identify business rules and improvement opportunities. Ability to build software solutions optimized for operations using best practices in engineering.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using .NET using C# language, libraries, frameworks and tools
- Build event-driven systems with Azure Functions, Azure Event Grid, Cosmos DB and work with Azure Stack
- Proficiency in Azure services, serverless computing, and event-driven development.
- Experience in a hands-on coding and technical lead role using service and hosting solutions such on Azure cloud IaaS and PaaS
- Should have working experience in MS SQL Server, Azure SQL
- Experience on development of microservices using Microservice Design Pattern, Domain Driven Design Model, and Integration Patterns
- Experience and domain knowledge on Health Insurance
- Will interact with business stakeholders and cross team collaboration.
- Interaction with infra team to diagnose and resolution of Issues.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in interacting with cross functional Teams
- Experience in deployment & monitoring of microservices in various environments – Dev, QA, UAT, Prod
Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of API Integration experience
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience on C#.NET
- Primary skills: Cloud PlatformAzure DeveloperMicrosoft Azure/PAAS
- Must have at least 3+ years experience with C# .NET and Azure SQL DB
- Databricks experience is preferred
- Web services (SOAP / XML / REST / JSON, etc.) and WCF
- Web development mark-up and scripting languages such as HTML, JQUERY, XML, XSLT, and JavaScript
- Expertise in Azure cloud architectures
- Experience with API Integration and design, good understanding of REST API required
- Database queries, stored procedures, and entity framework
- Working knowledge of systems integration design patterns and best practices
- Ability to lead a team and exercise project leadership is desirable. Agile development experience preferred
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
