The Role As a Lead Platform Developer , you’re leading the charge in designing and building quality, secure, performant, and scalable web services that will serve as the foundation for this movement — forever changing the way people access, understand, and pay for healthcare. You will lead the charge in building and delivering the product, you will write and review a lot of code — applying your broad knowledge of engineering best practices in domain-driven design, distributed system design, cloud infrastructure, and continuous delivery. As a Founding Member , you’re in on the ground floor — with equity — immersing yourself in fast-paced collaboration with passionate founders, strategic customers, sophisticated investors, and brilliant advisors. You will build alongside a talented cross-functional team of creators (we call ourselves Zipsters). You should have a strong intuition and make confident decisions in all things application architecture and software development. Who You Are We know that finding the perfect person who is a 10/10 in everything is not practical. However, if you are a 10 at any of these — meaning you have written books, have a podcast, or speak at conferences on the topic — lets definitely talk, we are hiring the best and are open to shaping the perfect role for you. You are a prolific coder. You have written a lot in the Microsoft ecosystem: C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, NuGet, Clean/Onion architecture. You have deep understanding in concepts like design patterns, OOP and SOLID principles, containerization, data structures, and algorithms. You obsess about automated testing in the development process, so you are intimately familiar with processes and tools for TDD, BDD and other acceptance testing practices. You have experience architecting distributed systems, knowing your way around patterns like REST, Web Sockets, CQRS, API gateways, GraphQL, event sourcing, or event-driven message broker/bus platforms. You have experience standing up Azure services (App Service, Kubernetes Service, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Service Bus / Event Hub). You have built CI/CD pipelines for code promotion and testing as part of a SDLC process. You are a leader of ideas and people — who can lead our platform development with authority and insight, build and deliver consistently, and mentor others to do the same.
