As a Lead Software Engineer in the Drivers Experience, you will hold a key role in building and scaling our consumer-centric backend domains. In this role, you will: With your team, own a broad range of critical backend domains that serve millions of users Define, utilize, and share best practices for building highly performant microservices Review RFCs and collaborate in writing them Provide thought leadership in the backend domain of knowledge and beyond Write secure, clean, well-tested, self-documenting code Create and monitor dashboards for security and performance Review PRs and provide helpful feedback to build on our culture of trust and learning Be responsive to the needs of other teams within the Drivers Experience and across the organization Maintain a culture where an architecture is in place and a plan exists before coding begins Mentor fellow backend engineers Proactively introduce new ideas to continually improve our backend systems About you You seek to understand both business and technology and how the different perspectives play together to create amazing products for customers, yet work for the business You are a humble team player with a bit of boldness who enjoys open-minded discussions in a collaborative way You have sincere care for people, quality, value, collaboration, and learning, to name a few areas.
