DataBridge is the backend engine powering the Merkury platform, connecting Merkle’s people-based insights to the digital advertising ecosystem. The Sr. Software Engineer will work with our hybrid team of remote and offshore developers to maintain and improve Merkle’s capabilities in the AdTech space using Agile project management practices. You will report to the Senior Director, Software Engineering. Responsibilities: You will code, build and test Java applications using modern CI/CD tools: Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Docker & Jenkins. You will test and debug system integrations using Java, Python, and shell scripting. You will manage AWS/cloud services: Beanstalk, Load Balancers, EKS, and Lambda. You will estimate time, cost, and complexity for feature requests and maintenance. You will analyze data – validate correctness, identify anomalies, identify trends – at multiple stages using SQL queries. You will improve tech stack and infrastructure concerning security, performance, and cost. You will pair with junior developers to demonstrate best practices and share domain knowledge. You will independently research and prototype new tech or services as they become available. Qualifications Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent education and work experience. 3+ years of experience with Java in a software development role. Scripting experience using Python or similar a plus. Experience working in Agile teams a plus. Utilizes analytic skills using SQL and Excel (can perform complex functions) . identifies and visualizes data anomalies. Experience using AWS or similar cloud services and best practices. Additional Information The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 – $106,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
