Job Description

Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of Linux administration and take your career to new heights? We’re looking for a talented Linux Administrator to join our team and help drive innovation in our department.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of managing, testing, and operating Linux systems (Suse, Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL) in virtualization or container environments using cutting-edge toolchains
  • Utilize automation tools like Salt or Ansible to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
  • Tackle interference suppression and error corrections with finesse, independently handling less complex cases
  • Be a proactive problem-solver, processing order and change measures independently in less complex scenarios
  • Collaborate on developing customer-specific solutions, bringing your creative ideas to the table
  • Manage Atlassian installations on Linux systems, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance
  • Keep documentation up to date, ensuring transparency and clarity in our operations

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or vocational training with relevant professional experience, with at least three years in IT administration
  • Exposure to public cloud platforms like Azure, showcasing your adaptability to evolving technologies
  • Customer-centric mindset, ensuring our solutions meet and exceed client expectations
  • LPIC1 certification and Icinga know-how are desirable bonuses.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Salt or Ansible, empowering you to automate and optimize tasks
  • Professional, trustworthy, and empathetic demeanour, fostering positive relationships within the team and with clients
  • Systematic and structured approach to work, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every task
  • Strong analytical skills, allowing you to dissect complex issues and devise effective solutions
  • High flexibility, resilience, and willingness to go above and beyond to achieve goals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in German and English
  • Broad technical understanding and expertise in Linux administration, enabling you to tackle challenges with confidence
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, facilitating seamless collaboration and documentation
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence, demonstrating your ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is a “nice to have” but the candidate must be familiar with the ITIL terminology
