Overview:
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
This position is responsible for providing advanced technical support for Mainframe Item Processing systems. Analyzes existing and proposed system changes or procedures that improve processing capabilities. Assists the installation of programs and procedures developed in coordination with end user groups. Enhances Mainframe Item Processing systems and procedures through system analysis, coding, testing, and other activities that facilitate technical business objectives. May occasionally guide less experienced analysts in the work group.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis – Sources, compiles, and interprets data related to Item Processing. Performs analysis for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
- System Testing – Thoroughly tests systems to ensure proper installation of new software, system changes, and overall efficiency. Evaluates and conveys testing results. Performs coding and assists in implementing system modifications and enhancements.
- Business Support – Provides technical support by performing coding, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve processing capabilities. Works closely with business units and operation teams to support their business objectives.
- Technical Proficiency – Utilizes knowledge to develop or install appropriate computer software. Serves as a resource on data processing systems and procedures.
If hired in North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $86,182 and $132,145. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science
Preferred Area of Experience: Mainframe developer with COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, DB2, VSAM, Changeman, etc.
Skill(s): Experience with programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, DB2. Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems, Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (like Waterfall and Agile). Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis.
Knowledge of Item Processing is a plus.
