Overview:
This position assists the Corporate Compliance division in facilitating the development and implementation of compliance programs within the Bank to reduce risk and ensure regulatory requirements are met through Data Analytics. Works with the Compliance team to assist with the analysis of data related to compliance risk reviews, monitoring and oversight efforts, reporting of compliance data, and other ad hoc requests as needed. This position is responsible for leading and managing staff, strategic growth of the data analytics team, and performing data analytics as needed. Serves as an expert, bringing data analytics solutions to business processes.
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Program Oversight – Manages a team of associates who analyze internal processes and systems for data gaps, discrepancies, or other regulatory compliance-related issues. Oversees the implementation of necessary changes to business processes, systems, or programs in accordance with external laws and regulations. Maintains a strong knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and standards in order to recommends amendments and corrective actions within business practices. Partners on the development of key performance metrics and reporting criteria within compliance programs.
- Reporting – Analyzes and produces reporting for management and other stakeholders regarding the Banks risks, trends, patterns, and exceptions. Assists senior management with compiling, preparing, and completing of committee presentations, annual audit plan, and risk assessments.
- Systems Support & Governance Develops and maintains databases and systems ensuring data is in a readable, organized format. Removes corrupted data and corrects coding errors and related problems. Troubleshoots department information systems in a timely and effective manner as needed. Identifies process improvement opportunities, proposes system modifications, and devises data governance strategies.
- Data Analysis Gathers, organizes, and sorts data to develops moderately complex data models for the department, business unit staff, and other stakeholders. Accesses structured and unstructured systems across the organization, utilizing coding efforts where needed to meet testing requirements. Provides effective and timely communications on findings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Regulatory Compliance Management, Banking or other related experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Regulatory Compliance Management, Banking or other related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- License or Certification Type: Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Preferred, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) Preferred, Certified AML and Fraud Professional (CAFP) Preferred, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) Preferred
- Skill(s): Advanced t echnical skills in programs such as or similar to: SAS, Python, Tableau, Business Objects, FOCUS, ACL, Cognos, and/or Microsoft Power Platform tools preferred.
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $120,000 to $185,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.
