Job Summary:
As part of our strategic initiative to migrate from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, NavAide is seeking a Master Data Governance Lead / Data Migration Subject Matter Expert. This role is pivotal for overseeing master data management strategy and governance framework, ensuring the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of master data across the organization during and after the migration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP S/4 master data governance, extensive experience in data strategy, cleansing, archiving, and proven experience in managing large-scale data transformations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support a comprehensive master data governance strategy for migrating to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with global data standards.
- Create and manage master data rules, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all business units.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify master data needs and implement best practices for data cleansing, maintenance, and synchronization.
- Design and manage master data structures and hierarchies required for effective data migration and ongoing operations.
- Conduct master data cleansing activities by identifying discrepancies, duplications, and inconsistencies in the data, and rectifying these issues before migration.
- Develop a comprehensive data migration strategy that includes data cleansing, archiving, and validation to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Perform detailed data analysis and mapping to ensure accuracy and integrity of data both pre- and post-migration.
- Troubleshoot data migration issues and provide solutions to ensure a seamless transition.
- Train and mentor the master data team and business users on data governance policies and the use of SAP MDG tools.
- Monitor data quality post-migration and adjust strategies as needed to address any emerging data management issues.
- Document all master data governance processes and maintain records for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on new data management practices and technologies introduced with S/4HANA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in master data management and governance, specifically in SAP environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA, with hands-on experience in SAP MDG.
- Proven track record of leading data migration projects with a focus on master data governance.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of additional SAP modules and integration points within S/4HANA.
- Expertise in SAP Data Services, SAP Information Steward, or other relevant data quality and migration tools.
- Knowledge of legal regulations and industry standards regarding data privacy and management.
Travel: Approximately 25% travel may be required.
