Mathematician for software development (m/f/d) What you bring to the table:
- You have analytical skills and a solution-oriented way of thinking – complex and challenging problems push you to find solutions
- You find technically complex IT systems with mathematical product calculation kernels and insurance technology exciting
- You have first contact points in object-oriented software development with Java or another established object-oriented programming language with a focus on backend development, want to expand your knowledge and familiarize yourself with the technical components of a system
- You have an analytical and logical way of thinking, which you combine with a strong quality awareness – you like to share your results with your team in order to create new solutions together
- You are a team player through and through, motivated and communicative – you use these strengths in collaboration with your team
- We work in an agile way, so an agile mindset is important – initial experience with agile working methods is a plus
- You are keen to actively shape your own role, your tasks and your own development
- You have a degree in mathematics or have completed a related course of study with a computer science component and ideally have some initial contact with insurance – actuarial mathematics, logic and analytics are your daily companions with us

- You support the quality assurance of your products – for this you use automated tests and other technical tools, carry out value comparisons and generate the necessary technical documentation
- You discuss specialist and technical requirements and challenges together with your stakeholders and implement them after consultation – experienced business analysts are on hand to provide advice and support
- Our products in the legacy system have grown and are demanding, so you are always in close contact with the system architect and other team members and discuss your ideas for solutions to requirements or bug fixes in order to implement the best solutions
- You network across teams and with your stakeholders at WWK, giving you a good overview of the overall system
- You learn and expand your programming skills by actively supporting and collaborating with your development team
- You support ideas for improving team processes and implement them together with your colleagues
