We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Developer with a background in working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or related government agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Java programming and a solid understanding of software development methodologies. This role will involve working on various projects related to defense and national security, contributing to the development of critical systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and systems.
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code using best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the stability and performance of applications.
- Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Adhere to security guidelines and standards to ensure compliance with DoD regulations and protocols.
- Document code, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
