Are you passionate about creating engaging and effective online experiences for customers? Do you have the skills and experience to plan, execute, and analyse experiments to improve the conversion rate and user journey of our website and app? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our CRO Specialist role at Superdrug, one of UK’s largest beauty and health retailers.
As a CRO Specialist, you will be part of the Superdrug Head Office Online Business team, reporting to the Senior UX and Optimisation Manager. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and test hypotheses, measure results, and implement best practices. You will manage some of our 3rd parties and work with stakeholders to understand the business goals and customer needs and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations.
This is an exciting and varied role where you can make a real impact on the performance and growth of our online channels. You will need to have a strong analytical and technical background, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. You will also need to have a customer-centric and creative approach, and a willingness to learn and experiment with new tools and techniques. Ideally, you will have experience as a manager, as there will be the potential to expand the team in the next future.

A typical day in this role includes:


· Manage our 3rd party tools, analysing and reporting on performance, while finding new ways to increase conversion and revenue streams.

· Triage and find resolution for any issues with website, third parties and feeds – raising support issues where & when appropriate.

· Using web analytics, user feedback, heatmaps and industry best practices to identify areas of improvement and generate hypotheses for testing.

· Support the development and creation of personalisation on the site.

· Creating and prioritising a roadmap of experiments to run across the website and app, using a data-driven and agile methodology.

· Support the ecommerce team with the adoption of any new functionality and troubleshoot any issues

· Designing, building, and launching A/B and multivariate tests using various tools and platforms, such as BloomReach, UseInsider, but also new potential tools.

· Monitoring and analysing the performance of experiments, using statistical methods and tools, such as Google Analytics, Excel, etc.

· Reporting and presenting the results and learnings of experiments to relevant stakeholders, using clear and compelling visualisations and narratives.

· Working with the web development and UX teams to implement the successful variations and ensure a consistent and seamless user experience.

· Keeping up to date with the latest trends and best practices in CRO, UX, and Search, and sharing them with the team and the wider organisation.

What you’ll need:

· A minimum of 2 years of experience in CRO, web analytics, or UX, preferably in an e-commerce or retail setting

· A degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, business, psychology, statistics, computer science, etc., or equivalent work experience.

· A solid understanding of web design principles, user behaviour, and conversion funnel optimisation.

· A strong proficiency in web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc., and the ability to analyse and interpret data and trends.

· A good knowledge of testing tools and platforms, such as Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO, etc., and the ability to design, build, and launch experiments.

· A basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and the ability to make minor changes to web pages

· A high level of attention to detail and quality assurance.

· A great communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex concepts and findings in a simple and engaging way.

· A strong project management and prioritisation skills, and the ability to work on multiple tasks and deadlines.

· A collaborative and proactive attitude, and the ability to work well with different teams and stakeholders.
