The Veradigm Product Development team is seeking an experienced candidate with automation and performance testing skills to join our team as a Sr Performance Engineer. The qualified candidate will expand the current performance set, design, develop, implement, and execute performance test plans, cases, scripts using business requirements documents. Work closely with the entire development team and ensure performance is embedded in the products and phases of the development lifecycle. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, initiative, must be detailed oriented, able to multitask and complete projects on schedule. What You Will Contribute Act as the performance evangelist for the department. Interact with the Solutions Management team and Product Owners to help define Performance Test requirements including user workflows, projected usage targets, and performance goals for each new feature being developed. Help define performance KPIs for each new feature or area of the product. Work with sprint teams as each feature is developed to ensure performance is considered and planned for and document the application profile for accurate Performance Tests. Setup appropriate monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Develop Performance Test Plans and Load Models as part of the test preparation. Setup tools needed for Performance Testing. Develop virtual user scripts using Loadrunner, and other tools as needed. Coordinate and perform test data setup for proper execution. Setup performance environment under test before each performance test run. Perform Load/Performance/Stress Tests by creating and executing different sets of scenarios to accomplish different objectives based on the Load Models. Monitor application and analyze results for transaction response times, throughput, users, errors, etc. Present detailed reports for consumption at sprint team as well as management levels. Document performance tooling and execution procedures in local wiki instance. Conduct root cause analysis of all performance defects found and ensure proper resolution. May be called upon to engage in manual / exploratory testing while researching performance issues discovered via the automated tests. Break down large tasks and estimate work as part of Agile sprint planning. Cultivate attitudes of open communication and team building. Continue to enhance skills through reading, mentoring, and training (either external or internal). Technical Skills The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of experience performance testing with LoadRunner. Experience testing both UI and back-end processes. Experience working with development teams to pinpoint and solve performance bottlenecks. Knowledge of testing methodologies and Agile SDLC Experience in creation and usage of SQL queries (Microsoft SQL Server) Experience with automation of command-line tasks using shell scripting or similar tools such as C# and the .NET Framework. Experience with SOAP / microservice testing is preferred. Experience with system monitoring tools is preferred. Knowledge of Internet and web technologies Non-Technical Skills Effective time management. Meticulous and detail oriented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently without constant supervision required. Strong sense of ownership and good follow-through skills. Experience working as part of an Agile team. Comfortable being on camera for team stand-ups. Verbal and Written Communication – Strong English language communication skills required. Innovation – Consistently contributes new and unique solutions to known product and process deficiencies. Interpersonal Skills – Will be required to work closely within a team and collaborate with other teams within the organization. Able to handle conflict, difficult situations, and urgent issues in a professional manner. Listens carefully to all points of view to ensure a clear and common understanding is achieved. Motivation – Self-motivated and tenacious when tackling tough technical issues Independence/Initiative – Able to work with limited supervision, adhering to overall department and company procedures.
