The Role As our Principal Data Architect , you’re not just building data models and systems; you’re b uilding the backbone of a healthcare revolution. Your role is pivotal in developing a robust and scalable data architecture that supports advanced AI-driven user experiences — forever changing the way people access, understand, and pay for healthcare. You will build data onramps and pipelines, manage ETL processes, develop ML algorithms, optimize data models for use with LLMs and supporting custom-built copilots. You will ensure our data architecture aligns with healthcare compliance and security standards. As a Founding Member , you’re in on the ground floor — with equity — immersing yourself in fast-paced collaboration with passionate founders, strategic customers, sophisticated investors, and brilliant advisors . Who You Are We know that finding the perfect person who is a 10/10 in everything is not practical. However, if you are a 10 at any of these — meaning you have written books, have a podcast, or speak at conferences on the topic — lets definitely talk, we are hiring the best and are open to shaping the perfect role for you. You have deep expertise in data storage/modeling platforms, patterns, methodologies, and tools in healthcare. You dream in data . You have experience laying down Azure cloud data services (Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Data Lake Storage, and Cosmos DB). You know where to go to get public-use administrative healthcare data (CMS, UMLS, HCUP, AHRQ, etc). You are skilled with Python for all parts of data management (ETL, data sanitization, ML model development). You have experience with microservices, REST APIs and domain-driven design (likely with an OO language like C#). You have familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka). You have experience with machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn. You have built CI/CD pipelines for data-specific operations supporting different use cases in different environments. You are a leader of ideas and people — who can guide our data strategy and decisions with authority and insight, build and deliver on that strategy, and help others learn to do the same.
