Job Summary: The Programmer III will participate in functional and technical tasks to support configuration, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications. In this role, you will be expected to work with our business stakeholders, architects, and other teams to analyze and understand business/data requirements and process flows and develop solutions to meet those requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, self-directed, hands-on developer with a great passion in development, capable troubleshooting skills, and is quick at analysis and resolving issues. This role calls for a dynamic, highly motivated professional with strong communication skills who must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment as part of the service delivery function for TMNA Services (TMNAS) and its Group Companies. Must have a technical background with over 4 years of hands- on experience in software development on technologies like .NET or Java. Key Responsibilities: Lead/Participate in the analysis, requirements, design, configuration and technical implementation of different insurance applications Participate in the identification and documentation of business, functional, and technical problems Translate functional requirements into high-level technical designs and/or business processes Participate in the design of solutions to meet business needs Responsible for the development and maintenance of SDLC artifacts related to implementation Research, evaluate and provide input to potential solutions taking into consideration project constraints, organizational architecture standards, customer business processes and emerging technologies, where applicable Participate in the development of work tasks, estimates, schedules, materials and plans to meet business needs Lead on-going production support for implemented projects Manage production support tickets in terms of severity Provide resolution of support tickets Provide reporting of project status to project management and leadership Analyze and troubleshoot production issues and determine the root cause of problems Keep pace with newer technologies and look for ways to add value incrementally Provide technical leadership and expertise to the support team/partners as part of various projects, initiatives, or operations support Identify and perform processes to produce high quality and reliable solutions Identify areas of improvement and follow/implement processes to improve the overall efficiency Plan & lead technical application upgrades Work collaboratively with the Enterprise Architect, BA, QA teams and subject matter experts of the various upstream and downstream systems in the design and development of solutions Align to the maintenance and enforcement of SDLC processes, departmental standards, style requirements and all other procedures necessary for data and system integrity Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the company Establish and build strong working relations and partnerships with Business Units and Senior Management Perform special projects and other duties as may be assigned Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred Must have over 4 years of experience in software development of solutions (Java or .NET), lead experience is a plus Experience working with Azure DevOps, source code repositories such Azure DevOps Server (TFS) or GIT, build & deployment process Experience developing web services using SOAP/REST, integrating with Azure APIM services Experience with XML/XSLT/XPATH Experience working with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM . Experience working with SQL using SQL Server/Oracle databases Experience working in Insurance industry P&C sector is a plus Knowledge: Knowledge and working experience with SQL or T-SQL is required Knowledge of Portal design concepts such as integration, security, collaboration, SSO Knowledge of packaged applications such as OnBase, ImageRight, DocuSign or any Insurance suite is a plus Knowledge of Service Now for ticketing is a plus Salary range $89,000 to $130,000.
