Mainframe CICS Systems Engineer. Remote EAST COAST ONLY. Required experience:
- minimum of ten years working as a CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer
- Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment.
- Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrade and maintenance
- In depth knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics for tuning CICS regions
- Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc.
- bility to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning.
- Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools Sysview.
- Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers.
- Experience with Mainframe WebSphere MQ

In order to be considered for this role you must be comfortable working with CICS (and MQ) in an enterprise scale Sysplex and CICSPlex environment. The CICS engineer must have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning, debugging and dump analysis.
