Job#: 2031981 Job Description: Lead Consultant (DevOps Engineer) The position: Apex is seeking a dynamic Lead Consultant with strong consultative skills to serve as a Lead DevOps Engineer in the US & Canada practice as part of Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. This role will lead project teams with Apex clients to design and deliver DevOps solutions to both cloud-based and on premise environments. This role will also provide technical subject matter expertise for Apex sales and account teams during the scoping of new DevOps platform opportunities. Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of Apex’s DevOps engagements with clients in various stages of DevOps maturity. Advise clients on DevOps best practices and leverage the strengths of the platform to meet the specific requirements and use cases around architecture, standards and governance. Build strong client, industry, and technical community relationships and represent Apex Systems as leaders in Industry and Professional events and communities. Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and implementation skills. Stay current on relevant technology trends and practices. Build trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate collaborative teamwork. Administer Ansible infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support. Provide technical documentation, procedures, and technical support to Ops concerning automation solution usage. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments for identified infrastructure. Update system documentation, diagrams and Standard Operation Procedures as needed. Design and implement AWS architecture using Terraform to support various applications and services Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of applications in AWS GovCloud Develop and maintain Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning and configuration Work on Python and Golang development projects to enhance automation and efficiency Stay up-to-date with AWS services and best practices to optimize the infrastructure environment Technical Requirements: Strong experience in AWS architecture and services Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code Hands-on experience with Python and Golang development Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Excellent problem-solving and communication skills AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools preferred Familiarity with AWS GovCloud security and compliance requirement preferred Experience: 7+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. 5+ years experience in AWS cloud platform (Azure is a plus). 5+ years working with containerization technologies. 5+ years in a scripting languages e.g., Bash/Python/Ruby/PowerShell/GoLang Proven experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence Experience configuring and deploying to Kubernetes clusters utilizing kubectl, helm, and third party command line tools like Terraform Experience building out and maintaining infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Familiar with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques. Collaborate with other developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure quality product enhancements. Experienced with working with teams of developers and other technical professionals in an Agile delivery framework Positive relationship builder able to navigate through complex situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solution Strong analytical skills and the aptitude to quickly identify gaps and risks Excellent written and spoken communication skills including the ability to help stakeholders navigate the trade-offs and alternatives to various solution architectures BA/BS degree preferred in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields (applicable education and experience may be substituted) EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
