Smiths Interconnect is currently recruiting a Global Product Line Director for the RF Product Line. This individual will manage the RF product lines to achieve company goals and targets. Elaborate strategy, business / marketing plan and products roadmap for current and potential new markets addressed by FOCOM which grow sales and market share, maximize gross profit and trading profit and grow FOCOM at a market leading rate; obtain competitive information from external consultants / surveys and conduct in-depth economical and technical benchmarks resulting in a good understanding of competitive landscape ; based on future market requirements, have the right technology and products developed by engineering ; in close collaboration with sales teams and Marketing Communication, participates to the elaboration of all go to market strategies and materials ; develop pricing strategies that maximize profit, revenue and market share; delivers customer satisfaction while providing long-term value for the company. ***This position does require individual be a US Citizen*** Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for Product Line P&L and delivering gross and operating margin targets Utilize pricing power framework to establish reference prices and volume pricing Release and disseminate collateral. Responsible for developing strategy and marketing plans. Conduct market, customer, competitor and user research; analyze potential partner relationships, if any, for the product line. Ensure profit and loss for product lines Work with RD&T to define product release requirements and roadmap Analyze sales for the product lines on a regular basis to assess their financial performance Work with Marketing Communications to define product market communication objectives, a go-to-market strategy and launch plan (product positioning, key benefits, target customers) Maintain a comprehensive product offering presentation Contribute to FOCOM’s synergies, manufacturing and sales Provide sales team training and presentations Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers. Provide market-specific price guidelines to colleagues where appropriate in Sales and Marketing Actively manage product lifecycle – concept, launch, production and end of life Co-define with sales strategic customers list and associated level of service Monitor FOCOM and competitors share in addressed market Collaborates with Human Resources to plan and execute appropriate staffing decisions to create/sustain sales competitiveness including talent road mapping, succession planning and to enhance people development programs Collaborates with shared services to improve organizational efficiencies and expansion of capabilities. The Individual Must be US Citizen Experience of managing P&L for a product line is vital Degree Level with preference toward Electrical Engineer with experience in RF Technology preferred. Experience as a Product Line Manager preferred Experience in Defense or Space Industry preferred Working knowledge of electrical systems and curiosity of the markets which we operate within Experience and good knowledge of key customers in key market segments in country/region. Demonstrated skills working across functional structures and teaming with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Engineering to achieve business objectives.
