Job Description
Experian Consumer Services (ECS) CRM team is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)/HTML Developer/Lead Engineer. As the ideal candidate, you’ll be highly driven and organized, strive for operational excellence, and have a customer-centric philosophy. You will be joining a team focused on developing cross-channel customer journeys, establishing rules-based creative messaging, developing and monitoring testing scenarios. The scope of work includes working in partnership with CRM Program Managers and IT stakeholders to understand the business needs and objectives and leverage your SFMC experience to design, configure and develop the solution within SFMC platform. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are a natural problem solver. You’re adept at research and management/stakeholder communications. You conduct yourself confidently, professionally and respectfully with colleagues at all levels and value building strong working relationships throughout the organization.
What you’ll be doing
As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud/HTML Developer/Lead in CRM team, you will bring your experience in design, development, and execution of large-scale, customer-centric communications. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Apply coding standards and content guidelines consistent with policies defined by the organization/team.
- Create and edit campaign assets including Emails, Email templates, CloudPages and Content Blocks.
- Utilize best practices in email development, email compliance regulations, and accessibility.
- Set up, test, and launch complex email campaigns with dynamic content.
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to campaign go-live.
- Ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices.
- Execute email campaigns with a heavy emphasis on customer segmentation, testing protocol, and technical execution.
- Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and other performance issues.
- Recommend opportunities to optimize email creative and campaigns based on results of executed emails (e.g., open rates, click-thru rates) and email marketing best practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of email development in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- 5+ years of overall creative development.
- Hands-on experience with development and deployment of cloud pages.
- Advance knowledge and understanding of HTML/CSS/AMPScript and SSJS or JS.
- Proficient in responsive cross-platform and cross-browser (email/web) development.
- Knowledge of how to use and implement version control for projects (e.g. GitHub).
- Know email and web development best practices.
- Develop dynamically driven content using AMPScript to support personalization needs.
- Web development work experience is a plus.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s Email Specialist Certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of SQL and JavaScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with email marketing and marketing automation technology.
