The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States. (9:30am EST daily stand up calls) About the job: The Salesforce Technical Lead will be working closely with other developers to ensure all code is consistent with architectural standards and design for the Humanitarian Services Group. This position is part of a collaborative team, responsible for understanding business requirements, LOE estimation, custom development and maintenance of code, code review, updating of technical documentation, and writing unit test scenarios. The Tech Lead has the skills and experience in advanced programmatic capabilities (Apex, LWC and Visualforce) of the Salesforce Platform and data modeling to develop complex business logic and interfaces. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, mentoring, and leading the team towards successful delivery of both enhancement and run & maintain projects. What you will be doing: User Interface development, including Lightning pages, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce as needed, Salesforce Integrations using APIs, Webservices, etc. Provide Salesforce subject matter expertise and assessments to business stakeholders and team members Demonstrate a strong command of technical details to translate proposed solutions into functional specifications with technical team Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of RC Care implementation Establishing and controlling technical definitions, rules, principles, and standards for teams Assessing, reviewing and decisioning on solution architecture designs Documenting any newly developed functionality in solution designs Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write/maintain test classes to ensure coverage for all custom development Hands-on contributing developer in addition to team leadership responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Actively participate in design and sprint planning sessions, offering relevant solutions and input. Estimate level of effort for stories and/or epics based on business requirements and knowledge of the platform. Participate actively in all Scrum events. Other responsibilities as assigned. What we need from you: 8+ years Salesforce experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant certification is required Salesforce Application Architect or Salesforce System Architect is a plus Experience in designing scalable solutions in Salesforce with end-to-end implementation experience Experience leading solutions design sessions, ability to ask hard questions during those sessions and suggest best practices and efficient ways of implementing business processes Demonstrated understanding of the architecture, capabilities and constraints of Salesforce applications required. Hands on Salesforce development and configuration expertise with VisualForce, Lightning web components, Apex triggers, Apex Web services, Flows, APIs, etc. Strong understanding and experience with Salesforce environment management, release management, and deployment methodologies Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models and technologies General web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript Good development habits regarding documenting solutions, commenting code, naming conventions, version control, and testing solutions Deep understanding of the Salesforce product suite including Salesforce1, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Communities) and AppExchange solutions Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and willingness to be part of a team, contribute more than just code to the growth and development to the team: ideas, knowledge, assistance, expertise, mentoring, time. Excellent communication skills; able to form business partnerships, and frame issues and solutions for a wide variety of business stakeholders. Ability to work extended hours/on call support as needed to support any major outages, especially during Hurricane season. +++++++++++++++++ The legal stuff: Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Work Conditions: Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.
