As a Senior Software Engineer, Encryption Services at Skyflow you will use your experience in various encryption and cryptographic methods to design solutions to keep our product secure against all possible threat vectors. You will build distributed systems at cloud -scale, and collaborate daily with a brilliant team of engineers who are passionate about building high-quality enterprise solutions that will delight our customers. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, building large-scale distributed systems Experience with homomorphic encryption, lattice cryptography, or other advanced encryption technologies (format-preserving encryption would be a plus) Knowledge of encryption algorithms, quantum-resilient computing, and post-quantum cryptography is desirable Good understanding of infrastructure and application-level security threat vectors and an ability to use a best-of-breed approach to design and implement solutions Experience delivering cloud-native distributed platforms at scale and with a meaningful adoption Solid experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems Experience with a relational databases (e.g. SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Teradata, BigQuery, or similar) Experience with continuous integration, designing testable code, and test-driven development Nice-to-haves Good understanding of modern privacy expectations and compliance will be a plus Experience with zero-knowledge proofs, and building zero-trust systems Keeping up with ever-evolving cryptography standards and techniques Responsibilities: Design and develop encryption APIs to support large-scale data and workflow security and privacy products Contribute to performance engineering efforts and ensure low-latency and high-throughput transactions at scale Participate in building and implementing effective test strategy including but not limited to safe code, automated testing, penetration testing, and ethical hacking Participate in the efforts of simplifying the world of cryptography, security, compliance, and privacy to non-technical internal and external stakeholders Contribute to building a world-class security and privacy engineering team $1,000 Work from home expense (U.S.A., Canada, and Australia) Excellent Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Options (Varies by Country) Very Generous PTO Flexible Hours Generous Equity Pay: A base salary range of $150,000 – $200,000 can be expected for this role in the San Francisco/Bay Area.
