Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

  • Location: Warsaw, Wrocław or 100% remote.
  • Salary: 24 000-33 000 gross UoP to negotiable

Employment based on an employment contract with the possibility of receiving 50% of the costs of obtaining income.

Job description

The primary focus of this role will be to bring expertise in enterprise cloud infrastructure governance, security, monitoring, cost efficiency and delivery to empower the internal and external delivery teams, propagate best practices of Azure DevOps setup and processes, including hands-on assistance to the teams in their journey of automating software delivery and agile project management, creating most common software project development, delivery and monitoring template solutions and resolving bottlenecks on critical projects together with local team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to advancing cloud technology knowledge within technical teams,
  • Adhere to best practices emphasizing quality, collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement,
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation covering architectures, configurations, and operational procedures,
  • Design and implement best-of-class continuous integration & delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps,
  • Enhance cost-effectiveness of cloud services through optimization and fine-tuning,
  • Implement robust security measures to safeguard cloud-based assets and data integrity,
  • Assist teams in producing DevOps workflows, processes, and adopting a DevOps culture,
  • Design Azure Boards and Dashboards,
  • Produce technical documentation and enterprise-wide standards,
  • Assess and recommend Metrics/KPIs to measure DevOps maturity and velocity,
  • Code security checks and embed Automation Testing including Azure DevOps Test Plans in pipelines,
  • Write and deploy high-quality and robust code to create and automate deployment of Azure Infrastructure components and Vendor applications (Terraform, Azure Templates) – infra-as-code, config-as-code,
  • Design, build, and maintain cloud monitoring solutions – tools, systems, and processes, dashboards, etc,
  • Ensure cost-effective management of cloud solutions,
  • Networking design, configuration, and management,
  • Experience in building containerized solutions, using Azure Kubernetes Service,
  • Experience managing Dev/Test/Production workloads in Azure.

Technical Skills:

  • Azure services (PaaS, SaaS), Messaging/Queues, APIs, Functions/Logic Apps, API Management, Azure AD, Keyvault,
  • Scripting languages – PowerShell, Bash, CLI, Terraform,
  • Pipelines – yaml files, gates, templates, configuration,
  • Database management technologies – SQL Server / Oracle, Databricks,
  • Agile development/release environment and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow (or similar ticket/ITSM system),
  • Continuous integration/development/deployment pipelines – Azure DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of GIT.

Qualifications, Strengths, and Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of design and hands-on implementation experience within large and complex digital transformation projects and products,
  • Minimum of five years of design and hands-on implementation experience in Azure cloud, preferably with Azure skills certification. AWS and GCP are a bonus,
  • Experience in Agile application development, DevOps methodology, cloud-native, servers and storage, and database management,
  • Exposure to multiple/diverse technologies and new and emerging technology trends, and their practical application,
  • Results-oriented with good interpersonal skills at all levels of contact and in various situations,
  • Strong process and/or project delivery discipline,
  • Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills in the English language,
  • Bachelor’s degree level or related study or equivalent experience.
