This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 8:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or additional required hours. We offer 3 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, Monday – Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home. *All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Primary Responsibilities: Stay abreast of changes to relevant workflows, policies, and procedures Adhere to internal workflows, business rules, policies, and procedures Read medical documents, then input digital information for new and existing patients Create and update medical profiles Enter data into the database accurately and in a timely manner Ensure accuracy of data entry by comparing source documents to entered information Maintain confidentiality of all records and information You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED Must be 18 years of age OR older Understanding of how relevant computer systems and platforms operate and integrate with one another (e.g., MS Navision; OnBase; Insight; Data Flex; Teleform; UM Applications) Ability to utilize relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel; Word; SharePoint; Outlook) Ability to utilize relevant reference manuals and/or on-line data sources (e.g., Hoover’s; relevant websites) Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 8:00pm CST, Monday – Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or additional required hours Preferred Qualifications: · 1+ years of data entry experience Telecommuting Requirements: Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.00 – $28.27 per hour.
