Interested in joining a growing company where you will work with talented colleagues, enhance a supportive and energetic culture, and be part of the climate solution? At Energy Solutions, we focus on the big impacts. And we believe that market-based programs can be a powerful force to deliver large-scale energy, carbon, and water-use savings. Since 1995, we’ve harnessed that power to offer proven, performance-based solutions for our utility, government, and institutional customers.
We are currentlyseeking a Senior Data Project Manager to join our Policy & Ratings team. Our Policy & Ratings Team supports the development of building codes, product standards, and other policies, as well as rating systems that assess energy and environmental performance metrics. The Data Project Manager will also play a substantial role in supporting electrification incentive programs, such as California’s flagship TECH Clean California program, which makes it easier for households to gain access to the benefits of electric heat pumps for space and water heating. In this role, you will work with data scientists, policy analysts, engineers, and program managers. You will have a broad impact on state, national, and international energy markets through our work for major utilities, local and state governments, non-governmental organizations, and other national leaders in energy efficiency and clean energy policy. This unique opportunity, paired with Energy Solutions’ mission-driven approach, creates a perfect environment for individuals who want to apply their skills and energy towards an expeditious transition to a sustainable, equitable future.
You will bring strong analytical capabilities and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external players to define and execute technical projects in partnership with our data science and engineering teams. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience conducting data analysis and managing complex technical projects and will enjoy working with a passionate team to understand, plan, manage, and execute the intricacies of data projects.
This position is perfect for individuals who have strong skills in translating complex technical ideas into simple language, are highly process-oriented, and can inform and provide guidance on decision-making.

- Developing and maintaining project timelines and organizing “sprints” toward project milestones
- Orchestrating work using Kanban-style task tracking systems (such as Monday.com): writing task specification, prioritizing tasks, assigning tickets and following-up on their completion
- Working with the team to develop and coordinate processes that ensure quality control
- Managing data and technical projects to be completed on schedule and within budget
- Developing and monitoring project budgets, planning and updating assigned hours, documenting work completed, preparing and approving invoices
- Facilitating the progress of multiple projects and bringing them to conclusion
