We set them. Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst communicates financial results to business partners for key products, markets and initiatives. This position uses advanced data and analytic methods to deliver financial insights and develops in-depth story lines to deepen client insights and recommends creative actions to guide strategy and operations to enable Allstate to generate profitable market share growth. This role formulates financial projections to predict and track performance, diagnose potential issues and prompt corrective actions. This position is a permanent remote home-based worker. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses. Key Responsibilities: Uncover financial drivers of the business results by accessing and manipulating large data sets to isolate key performance indicators, quantify and forecast impacts of changes, build scenario models and answer business questions Recognize how different data points fit together and integrate cross functional knowledge and/or sources Communicate complex ideas and findings clearly and concisely to a broad audience and provide recommendations Use and coach others on how to access and apply available data relevant to business issues Manage complicated analysis projects addressing ambiguous business issues Develop and lead effective presentations for large groups Drive conversations with leadership to understand business implications of current trends Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree,preferablywith finance/mathematic/economics related major 3 or more years of related experience Functional Skills: Advanced business knowledge (i.e.; deep financial skills/flow of the numbers) of financial and accounting concepts as well as experience in managing and manipulating complex datasets leveraging advanced analytical and financial model building skills Strong oral and written communication skills to partner with employees both internal and external to finance as well as interpersonal skills to work effectively in a virtual team environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex data driven problems and communicate findings Experience leveraging mathematical and statistical skills to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze data Experience in managing the query and manipulation of large datasets (using SQL or other languages like R or Python are a plus) Experience in leading the build of data visualization tools using software such as Tableau or Power BI to explore, analyze, visualize, and present data Advanced time management skills and organization skills with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Inspire trust and confidence in clients through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement, both personally and with work assignments Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have supervisory duties.
