Senior Marketing Data Analyst Hoffmann Murtaugh, a fully integrated media planning and buying agency, is seeking an Analytics and Measurement Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should love working with data and excel at problem solving. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to connect and interpret data from multiple sources to provide insights that help inform our clients and internal teams of campaign performance. As a client facing role, the candidate should be comfortable presenting to groups virtually and should have a knack for communicating to audiences with various levels of marketing expertise. The ideal candidate will have the ability to craft a story around the data and showcase problem solving skills to the client. This individual will meet with our planning, buying, account management teams to understand client KPIs, overall media strategy, and tactical performance. Primary Functions Lead large complex analytics and reporting projects, delivering accurate, accessible, and repeatable business reporting and insights to stakeholders across all levels Demonstrate leadership and subject matter expertise in business and data landscape, standardized reporting, experimentation, and analysis to support performance discussions across multiple channels Proactively help the business leverage data and insights to enhance our ability to inform on marketing efforts and increase efficacy of our approaches Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize and scale marketing campaigns Apply a customer/stakeholder-oriented focus and user experience and design best practices to ensure data analysis is easily consumable through visualization, presentation, and storytelling Use automated tools and platforms to extract data from data sources Develop and maintain databases and data systems and reorganize in a format that is usable in outputs Performs data quality audits to flag any inconsistencies that may indicate an error Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems Prepare reports for management showing trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data Work with management to identify process improvement opportunities and propose system modifications Identify opportunities for efficiencies in reporting and reporting automation Build visualizations that effectively communicate performance Create templates for use in reporting visualizations Update and maintain reports for internal and external stakeholders Develop and update formal reporting processes and best practices Proactively support and participate in agency improvement/innovation initiatives Required Qualifications 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis Proficient in SQL and Excel Experienced with Python or R, and data visualization tools such as (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) Experience translating complex findings and results into a compelling narrative Experience handling large data sets to reveal patterns, trends, and associations, from behavioral and interaction data Strong understanding of paid media metrics and KPIs Ability to cleanse and prepare data Strong mathematical ability Exceptionally analytical and naturally curious Ability to prioritize and multi-task Detail oriented Passionate and curious about the advertising and digital industries Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal Core values must include honesty, reliability, a commitment to pride in your work quality, and the pursuit of self and work/career excellence Proactive, self-starter and tenacity in finding solutions to problems Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently Must be computer literate with strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook/Express, with the ability to learn new computer systems Ability to define problems, collect and review data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Virtual office environment that aligns with 8:30a-5p EST office hours. Occasional travel may be required. Perform sedentary work, which includes sitting most of the time, yet occasionally exerting up to ten pounds of force. Work setting is a mix of virtual and office setting.
