Position Overview:
We are seeking a senior server-side Java developer to join our remote team. Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS is required. The role involves developing and maintaining high-performing server-side Java applications for our messaging platform. An interest or experience in AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) will be considered a significant plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize server-side Java Sprint Boot applications
- Implement scalable server-side logic and manage database interactions
- Utilize AWS services for robust infrastructure development
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of applications
- Collaborate with teams to create new features and enhance existing functionalities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Maintain high standards of code quality and automation
- Contribute to AI and LLM-related projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum five (5) years experience in server-side Java development
- Deep knowledge of Java and the Spring Boot framework
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud services and infrastructure
- Solid understanding of database management, especially with relational databases
- Expertise in REST API development and security best-practices
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Familiarity with build and CI/CD tools, preferably Maven and Jenkins
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Must be available to work regular business hours in the Central Time Zone USA Chicago, IL (GMT-6).
