Role Description

The Dropbox Tax team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Indirect Tax – focused on international (VAT / GST) indirect tax, reporting to the Global Indirect Tax Lead. This role will partner and collaborate seamlessly with members of the Tax, Finance, Legal and business teams to help drive and support our commercial strategy and lead global transfer pricing for Dropbox. In this role, you’ll bring enthusiasm for all things Tax and thrive teaming with other smart Tax folks to drive and deliver Dropbox projects and initiatives. You’ll be ready to roll up your sleeves to design and implement Tax processes, policies, best practices, and frameworks to help scale a growing Tax team and function. You are a self-starter who follows through, gets stuff done, and has a passion for VAT and all things transaction tax.

Responsibilities

Oversee international (VAT/GST) indirect tax compliance, reporting, and filings across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Stay abreast of changes in VAT laws and regulations globally, assess their impact on the company, and recommend necessary actions Perform reporting and compliance calculations and analyses – including ASC 450 analyses Identify opportunities for operational efficiency / transformation and drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance VAT compliance and efficiency Conduct research and tax position strategy developments Conduct VAT risk assessments and implement effective controls to mitigate tax risks Collaborate cross-functionally with tax, finance, legal, product / tech and other departments to integrate indirect tax considerations into business processes and transactions Lead, mentor, and challenge high-performing indirect tax team Plan for the growth of our indirect tax systems, including our tax engines, working closely with our enterprise wide technology teams to develop and transform tax systems, processes, and and reporting strategies

and accountability Big Four Public Accounting or Law Firm experience combined with in-house tech company tax accounting experience People Management experience Experience working on and implementing indirect tax policies, best practices, tools, strategies at scale Analytical experience with research and quantitative analysis skills Excellent communication skills, strong Excel skills and a self-starter who is able to manage projects independently and proactively Exceptional prioritization, project management, and organizational skills including an ability to synthesize complex tax matters into simple, concise communications BA in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent Advanced degree (MBA, JD, MST, Ph.
