About the Role
At Movement Labs, we are leading the way in blockchain technology with an open modular framework for building and deploying Move-based infrastructure, applications, and blockchains in any distributed environment. We’re looking for software engineers with a thorough understanding of the entire blockchain technology stack, from networking and systems to cryptography and consensus protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Movement’s Move-based blockchain technologies.
- Develop developer tools and SDKs, fostering interaction with our internal and external developer community.
- Collaborate with the larger community to evolve the design and implementation of MoveVM and Move language.
- Write technical specifications, create proposals, and conduct code reviews.
Qualifications
- Experience in building and supporting production services on a large scale.
- Proficiency with at least one low-level programming language such as Rust, Go, or C/C++, and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Understanding of cryptography, distributed systems, consensus, blockchain, and cryptoeconomics fundamentals.
Preferable Qualifications
- Passion for blockchain, Web3, and similar decentralized technologies.
- Understanding of blockchain technology and its underlying infrastructure, preferably with Move, Avalanche, or Ethereum.
- A strong motivation to learn and push yourself.
