This role will join our Solutions Engineering Team out of our Orlando, Florida headquarters and report to the Director of Solutions Engineering. This position may be eligible to telecommute from a remote workspace. However, preference/priority will always be given to candidates who express the ability to work on site at OneRail HQ in Orlando, FL (ZIP code 32819). As a Solutions Engineer at OneRail, you join a talented team working together to transform final mile logistics and supply chain operations. Your role will work alongside the various OneRail teams – to discover how a potential customer can leverage OneRail’s platform to eliminate manual processes, save on transportation spend, and aggregate delivery data – and successfully implement it. A typical day in this role you will solve how OneRail’s platform fits into a customer’s current systems and processes, addressing current state problems, and generating value for customers. The Solutions Engineer will work directly with customers to understand their current processes and data to recommend and implement efficiencies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Tell a compelling story to prospective customers Manage multiple projects at a time, in various stages. Report daily on project status, outstanding risks, and upcoming tasks. Work with new and existing customers to understand their needs and challenges. Take a consultative approach to suggest best practices and solutions to problems. Collaborate closely with team members from Sales to drive new opportunities and expand existing business. Work with sales and customers to understand customer use cases, data complexities, integrations approach, and operational processes. Communicate benefits of complex technical solutions and products via industry and business terms to prospects and customers. Apply and articulate knowledge of OneRail platform including technical pre-sales, implementation of application integration, best practices, and OneRail’s APIs. Review customer data and complete an informative analysis of findings. Present findings to executive stakeholders and ensure they understand the findings. Deliver recommendations to product and engineering team members based on customer and prospective customer feedback. Execute product demonstrations of OneRail’s platform, which cover specific use cases and functionality customer would utilize. Execute a Value Engineering Assessment to help connect the dots between customer pain points to a solution from OneRail – which will summarize return on investment and obtainable value for prospective customers. Produce Statements of Work and solutions/integration designs reflecting the project requirements and how a prospective customer will implement OneRail. Facilitate responses to RFP’s, RFI’s, and Information Security questionnaires. Gather learnings and insights from customer data, through the pre-sales process. Work directly with existing and new customers to understand their current processes and analyze data, in order to recommend efficiencies. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM 3+ years combined experience in pre-sales, a technical role, implementation, or consultative roles focused on SaaS technologies or equivalent. Ability to proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities to executive stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail. Deep knowledge of how to design and create slides using Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience reading and comprehending API documentation. Knowledge and understanding of how to read and discuss JSON and SAML payloads with customers. Deep understanding of software integrations and how to map integrations between applications. Understanding of Excel and writing complex formulas in Excel. Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data. Knowledge and experience with SQL, including reading and writing SQL queries preferred. Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI preferred. Experience creating and making API calls preferred. Past experience with logistics or supply chain a plus.
