The Sr Manager, Finance is a critical part of the Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) which provides innovative diagnostic solutions for select IVD market segments and has been a trusted supplier in the IVD industry for over 40 years. CDD provides products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening and more.

At our Middletown site 500+ colleagues produce over 10 billion tests annually through custom, contract and OEM businesses for Hematology, Hemostasis, Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay and Molecular.

How you will make an impact:

The Sr. Manager Finance leads a diverse team within the Clinical Diagnostics Reagents (CDR) Finance team to support senior leaders in data analytics, financial reporting and forecasting processes to help craft the success of the business. This role would suit an individual with a passion for data analytics and a real desire to develop and succeed within a fast paced, innovative FP&A function!

By leading activities such as strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and close exercises, while leveraging analytics, forecasting and reporting skills, you will help shape the operational success of our business areas for senior leaders. You will develop a robust skill set as part of this fast-paced function by interacting with a broad number of internal business partners and building organizational capabilities to drive profitability & customer satisfaction. The work of this team is dynamic with high-visibility and impact to our diverse customers, providing you an opportunity to gain valuable regional and global experiences and professional growth.

What you will do:

  • Lead AOP / QBR / STRAP/ MBR, in a matrixed financial forecast
  • Monitor and analyze financials, including leading monthly and quarterly reporting (revenue, gross margin, OPEX, KPI’s, CAPEX)
  • Lead data analysis for the business, using complex data and problem solving
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans
  • Provide Financial support to the SIOP process
  • Understands and deploys the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex data and topics
  • Develops high quality effective presentations (i.e. engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep)
  • Identify, communicate, and lead risk & opportunities
  • Build and develop a high performing team

This is an on-site position located in Middletown, VA, US.

How you will get here: Education

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required

Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years of business and Finance experience
  • Significant experience within FP&A or Controlling
  • Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization
  • Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics
  • Organized multitasker: workload prioritization, enable to meet tight deadlines while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and strong finance skills
  • Proven understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), SAP ERP (or equivalent), PowerPoint, and Hyperion is preferred
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven business partner and influencer

  • Less than 10% domestic/international travel required
