To do this we employ big-thinkers’ and can-doers’ that share our purpose #uniquelyexperian Job Description Role Summary As the SVP of Corporate Development, you will be responsible for leading mergers and acquisitions projects supporting Experian’s North America region ($5bn of revenues). There is considerable visibility and variability within the role and a commercially insightful, technically strong and well-rounded professional with significant M&A experience is essential. This is an outstanding role for an experienced candidate looking to take their next career step within a fast-paced and acquisitive FTSE 100 listed company. Key Responsibilities Interface with Experian’s regional and business unit leadership teams to drive inorganic investment strategy and identify attractive acquisition targets. Manage the North America M&A pipeline and prioritization. Meet with potential acquisition targets and create relationships with management teams and investors. Advise senior finance team members on preparing detailed financial projections, financial models and scenario analysis. Oversee development of complex valuation models and preparation of complete valuation analysis. Determine deal structuring options. Present and negotiate deal terms and key legal documents including definitive purchase agreements. Oversee preparation of key documents for the internal deal approval process, including investment cases and papers for Board-level review. Manage due diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders. Create strong personal networks with investment banking and other deal sourcing contacts, management teams of potential targets and Experian business leaders. Qualifications Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or closely related financial experience, having worked on M&A transactions of various sizes, types and complexities in the US and internationally. Minimum 10 years of leadership experience MBA is preferred Solution oriented with proven experience in negotiating and completing complex M&A transactions. Strong communication and collaboration skills – comfortable engaging in robust debates with C-level executives in an energetic and influential manner. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy. Prior experience in financial technology, information services or business services sectors with solid network of contacts at companies, investors and intermediaries. Experience managing cross-functional and cross-regional teams through an entire M&A process. Proven ability to formulate informed positions and influence internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to provide leadership, interact with executive management, and work with a variety of clients & stakeholders. Proven success in attracting and developing talent.
