What you will do We are looking for an engineer who will be responsible for implementing telecommunications systems to support alarm signal monitoring. As a technical engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of life safety signals for our customers, ensuring that our alarm signaling solutions are robust, highly available, and in compliance with industry standards. How you will do it Global Solution Implementation: Ensure technology standards are implemented, tested, and manage the handover of SOPs to the operational teams.
Security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard alarm signaling data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and privacy standards.
Performance Optimization: Optimize alarm signaling systems for low latency, high throughput, and efficient resource utilization.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and project managers, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Vendor Engagement: Work closely with our third party vendors to help support delivery of architecture design and critical infrastructure.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, design decisions, and best practices.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Define and oversee testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of alarm signaling systems.
Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to alarm signaling to propose innovative solutions and enhancements.
Flexibility: Be willing to work on cross organizational initiatives that drive change.
What we look for Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications, with a focus on TDM, SIP, and other telecommunications protocols.
Familiarity with critical hardware for alarm signaling, including Session Border Controllers (Oracle, Ribbon, Audiocodes, Khomp, etc.), Avaya, or Cisco.
Knowledge of network protocols and security.
Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
The person who will be successful in this role is collaborative and open to learning new technologies.
Hiring Compensation Range in Colorado: $97,800 -$111,800 USD. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
