Job Description Overview: Position will own and be responsible for APLL global marketing and both internal and external communications. Reporting the President, the position will lead a team dispersed regionally and by specialty to create brand awareness, drive pipeline growth and insure consistent and quality communications around the world. Key Result Areas Develop and implement global brand strategy that includes elements of marketing, digital media and value creation to drive awareness and increase overall size of pipeline. Build and grow team of global marketing and communication professionals that can enforce global standards and be responsive to local, regional needs. Selection and management of key vendors for PR, marketing, collateral and other media. This includes owning global RFP process for each function and owning financial analysis to justify spend. Includes responsibility for vendor performance and results across the related areas. Work with key stakeholders, including the President, to document a global product vision roadmap include timelines, investments and key results. Also includes developing and implementing marketing and communication strategy to support this vision over an extended period of time. Meet or exceed objectives related to corporate diversity, inclusion and talent succession programs. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities/Duties Develop, implement and manage global brand strategy and deliver implementation across all APLL regions and functions. Develop, implement and manage global marketing efforts for Panom and related services, including regional subtleties where required. Pipeline growth, by segment, in OMS at a % TBD by President. Assume management of all customer – facing events globally and ownership of metrics around these events: number of leads captured, number of leads converted, key message deployment. Assist President in building global product development infrastructure in 2025. Reporting and analytics as required on progress, insights and other subjects for senior management and Board audiences. Design, develop and deploy key account management strategy globally to reduce revenue shrinkage and grow the key accounts in line with larger growth strategy. Develop relationships with key customers globally to promote APLL and its service offering. Qualifications Education A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Experiences 5 years (or more) of experience in the product or line of business being managed. Minimum ten years of experience in the supply-chain or logistics market segment Demonstrable experience of engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions. Demonstrable knowledge of marketing and communications management for a large, global entity Proven experience with budget management Global experience and skills Demonstrated ability to meet targets in a complex, global environment Skill Sets Establishes and maintains support from key stakeholders within and across relevant business units to identify, then achieve, product objectives and outcomes, consistent with the relevant cultural norms Able to effectively manage a global team to meet commercial targets and strategic objectives Solicits advice, support, sponsorship and commitment to product success across relevant parts of the organization Builds both formal and informal professional networks among relevant internal and external stakeholders and influencers, in a manner designed to maximize the success of the product Develops product strategies, vision and roadmaps that align with the architecture and technology direction of the enterprise Ability to use financial, operations and commercial acumen to make decisions impacting APLL as a whole Considers product-line/business unit and enterprise priorities, strategies, goals, emerging technologies, industry trends and economic viability across the relevant product portfolio Understands – and is able to operate within – the domains of any core technologies that the product requires to deliver capabilities (artificial intelligence or machine learning, for example) if required Strong technical background to understand the importance of technology in product and sales messaging Expert in solutions-based sales and able to drive this methodology across the enterprise Desired Competencies Experience in marketing or product development with a technology company focused on supply-chain or logistics Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office. The typical starting salary range for this position is: $172,326 – $205,000. The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location.
