Job Summary:
The Head of Sourcing and Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, and experience in managing manufacturers, freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL), warehousing, and last-mile delivery. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key vendors.
- Lead supplier selection and qualification processes to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and operations, to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee inventory management to optimize stock levels, reduce lead times, and minimize carrying costs.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities or risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Implement and maintain robust systems and processes for procurement, order management, and supply chain visibility.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and warehousing partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance related to sourcing, procurement, and supply chain activities.
