The Frogwares team is looking for a 2D Material (texturing) artist for their upcoming game. This role requires strong artistic and technical skills. You need a clear understanding of the elements and the movements required. This will make each level authentic and attractive. You will create quality 2D textures for the game. This includes clothing and items for characters and environments.

Responsibilities:

  • High-Quality Texture Creation: Develop detailed textures in line with our quality standards.

  • Consistent Art Style: Maintain style unity using PBR principles.

  • Detailing and Variation: Add realistic details and use variations to avoid monotony.

  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the Lighting, Modeling, and Concept departments.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and use new tools to enhance quality and efficiency.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

  • Proficiency in Texturing Software: Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Adobe Photoshop.

  • 3D modeling: Understanding of programs like Maya, and 3DsMax.

  • Unreal Engine Knowledge: Familiarity with texture import and working with game engine 

  • PBR Understanding: Knowledge of PBR principles and creating textures accordingly.

  • Understanding of Texture Optimization: mipmapping, texture formats

  • Artistic Skills: Strong foundations in art, including color theory and composition.

  • Lighting: Understanding of how light interacts with materials.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address technical issues during texture work.

  • Git: Understanding of the Git version control system.

  • Level of English: Intermediate
