How to publish jobs on DecisionWanted

Go to the vacancies, click “Post a vacancy”

Next, fill in the job title and job description. The job description will help you distribute this job to various sources.

Specify the specialization and all the necessary or alternative skills that the candidate should have. Remember that it is very important to specify the skills you need to have, otherwise the system will not be able to accurately match you with candidates.

In the Equivalent alternative skills field, you can specify them. For example, you’re looking for a developer with MySQL, but PostgreSQL will do. Then you add MySQL as a required skill, and PostgreSQL as an equivalent alternative skill to MySQL. This way, the system will expand the search, and you will decide whether to consider such a candidate for this vacancy based on the report.

Also, pay attention when you specify the level. If you choose the intermediate level, specify the minimum number of years of experience required, because for some people, intermediate means 2 years of experience, and for others, 5. If you specify an intermediate level of 5 years, and the candidate has 2 years of experience, he or she will not appear in your report of suitable candidates. The system will look for candidates with 5 years of experience or more. If years of experience are not important to you, then specify only the level, without emphasizing the years.

Specify the skills that will be a bonus. Bonus skills are optional, but if you specify them, the system will help you choose the best candidate among those who meet the minimum requirements.

Specify the languages and their level of proficiency. You can also specify any language that might be a plus.

Enter additional information about the job: the name of the company (if you cannot disclose it, indicate the NDA in the company name), the type of company, types of employment, cooperation opportunities, and the salary (if you cannot disclose it, check the box to hide it from the candidate. You can also post a link to the job video, if available.

Indicate the candidate’s preferred location, work office location, citizenship, and work visa, if applicable.

Indicate the time zone in which the candidate will work and note any additional requirements that may be required during the hiring process and in the future.

Click Create a job. The job is sent for moderation, which takes up to 15 minutes.

After the job is moderated, the system starts searching for suitable candidates by skills, and you don’t need to search for these candidates yourself – DecisionWanted does it for you. At the bottom of the job posting, it shows the number of partially matched candidates and the number of matched candidates.

Partially eligible candidates are those who have only a part of the skills (they will be marked). These are also candidates who may not have indicated the number of years of experience with the technology or not completely filled out their profile. In this way, the system will notify partially eligible candidates that they need to update their information, because they may have simply forgotten to include these skills or considered them unimportant. If the candidate updates his or her skills, the system will automatically suggest that you consider him or her for the job.

Matching candidates are those candidates who are almost a perfect match for the job The system automatically suggests such candidates to you for consideration, and candidates are invited to consider your job. This will be indicated in the candidate’s profile as a percentage.

By clicking on the detailed information, the system will prompt you to select the type of report, and by selecting the type of mismatch, you can view the skills that are missing.

Based on the report, you can decide whether to offer the job to the candidate or not. After you click “offer job”, you will have access to a chat to communicate with the candidate.

In the dashboard, you will receive a notification that the candidate is interested in the job.

This means that you can write him a message and continue communication about the vacancy.

Have a nice communication and close the vacancy 🙂.

Remember that if you switch to any other messenger, do not forget to update the status of the candidate you are considering every week, just write a message to the candidate, “waiting for an interview”, “waiting for the results of the interview” or “offer sent”.

If the hiring has taken place, click on “Hiring information” and specify the salary for which the offer was accepted and the candidate’s start date.

If the candidate stopped responding, did not pass the interview, rejected further communication, or did not accept the offer, click withdraw offer. In this case, the offer will be withdrawn on the candidate’s tab and the system will not offer this candidate to your vacancy for which cooperation did not work out.

As you can see, everything is very simple! So start posting your jobs on our platform right now!
